Curaçao (/ˈkjʊərəsaʊ/ KEWR-ə-sow); is an island in the southern Caribbean Sea, off the Venezuelan coast. The Country of Curaçao which includes the main island plus the small, uninhabited island of Klein Curaçao (“Little Curaçao”), is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It has a population of over 140,000 on an area of 444 km2 (171 sq mi) and its capital is Willemstad. Curaçao is known for its colorful architecture, beautiful beaches and lively multicultural society.
How to get there
Curacao has a modern international airport served by a number of airlines. Connections can be made to any part of the world. There are daily non-stop air services from the U.S., and daily flights to Venezuela, the Netherlands and several Caribbean destinations. Flights also go to Surinam, Colombia, Panama, Canada, Germany, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Bonaire, Aruba, and St. Maarten.
