A family business, run locally
Mondi Lodge is owned by a Curaçao family and looked after day to day by Danita. We are not part of a chain, and there’s no head office overseas. Every decision, from how the garden is watered to which suppliers we use, is made here on the island.
Where your booking goes
Booking sites play a useful part in helping travellers find us, but each booking made through them carries a commission. When you book direct, more of what you pay stays with the lodge. That goes straight back into the things that make a stay here special:
- Local people. We employ local staff and work with local businesses.
- Local suppliers. We buy toiletries from shops on the island, our eco-friendly cleaning products from Cleanful and our car hire through the local company Prins.
- Sustainability. Solar power, our chlorine-free Magnapool, recycling through Greenforce Curaçao and the steady work of running an ecolodge properly.
- Community. The commission we earn on tours is donated to a local charity, and we organise beach clean-ups with our team and volunteers.
A more personal stay
Booking direct also means talking directly to the people who will welcome you. We can help you choose the right palapa, point you to the best trail for your fitness, suggest where to see flamingos or turtles, and help you plan the details before you arrive.
The same honest rates
Our rates include tax, cleaning, wifi, electricity and water, with daily housekeeping included. The only extra is the minibar. You get clear pricing and a direct line to us from the moment you book.
